SupportOur Email Support GroupThry'vors email support group (listserv) is our main avenue for providing support. The listserv is also a communication network to link members with patient education information on thyroid cancer diagnosis, treatment, ongoing monitoring and living well. To subscribe, go to the listserv homepage at: http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/thryvors Note: If you are not yet registered with Yahoo, you will need to do this before subscribing. To register with Yahoo, at the top of the screen, select "NEW USER? - SIGN-UP" at the above website. Registration is a simple and quick process, as well as free. You will set your Yahoo profile name and password. Keep these on file so that you can make changes to your membership as needed. After you are registered, go back to http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/thryvors and select the blue button, JOIN THIS GROUP!. Follow the instructions to subscribe to the list. Thry'vors listserv subscription process requires a confirming email from the account you intend to use on the list. When you subscribe to the listserv, please check your email inbox for instructions. You will then receive an automated Welcome Message and be on the list to send and receive email.
You can receive Thry'vors listserv messages directly into your e-mail account in the form of individual messages or daily digest by changing the settings on your account. You also have the option to view Thry'vors messages on-the-web as opposed to receiving individual listserv postings. Our Yahoo listserv site offers many features to registered members including: a discussion forum with fellow thyroid cancer survivors; access to thyroid cancer articles; member stories; LID recipe index with hundreds of recipes; as well as the monthly e-bulletin - Ask Thry'vors. Other Online Support ServicesThyCa: Thyroid Cancer Survivor's Association is an American organization that provides information and support to individuals with thyroid cancer. They have a general email list, as well as several more specialized email support groups, including ones that address anaplastic and medullary thyroid cancer, as well as paediatric and advanced thyroid cancer. They also have support groups for long term survivors and caregivers. To join any of these groups, click the link below and follow the instructions posted on the ThyCa website.
